Well for a start my camera decided not to record any of the pics I took at todays North Dorset Village Marathon, or at least I cant seem to find them on the memory card! So I have had to steal one of Kevin's.
Now, there were so many great runners today it was hard to choose just one picture. Should it be GB runner Steve Way, pacing a local runner to a 2:42 marathon win. Or another GB runner and local businessman Anthony Clark, jogging into third place with his third marathon in a week? What about my friend Sarah Swift, with her finish time today on her first road marathon, gaining a good for age place in London Marathon next year (great running Sarah!), or superb running by Jim Storey, under the radar with a sub-5 first marathon at age ooh, around 68 Jim? Or maybe Luretta Spearing? Running a come back marathon just 7 months after having baby Ruben (and even stopping to express at 17 miles) awesome work Lu!
In the end after much deliberation I decided on a picture of another legend, Danny Kay (aka 'The Legend'), a 100 marathon club runner who at the age of um, well definitely over 75 anyway, has run over 600 marathons. Cheeky though, he likes collecting kisses too, I guess you can get away with it at that age? :-)
